ACCOUNTABILITY

We believe in being open and honest about our work, exploring the challenges we face and sharing our successes. Good communication, regular feedback and the ability to admit failure are essential features of a transparent organisation. We operate with a 100% donations policy, where admin costs are covered by Gift Aid and generous business donors.

COMPASSION

Compassion is the humane response to the pain of others, coupled with a strong desire to help ease or eradicate this suffering. Compassion lies at the heart of everything AnsarAid does. We appreciate the perspectives of others when they are different from our own. We give freely with no hidden motives, and we provide comfort to those in distress no matter who they are.

OUR MISSION

To provide immediate relief and long-term support to vulnerable communities by addressing hunger, poverty, and hardship. We are committed to delivering aid with compassion and dignity while empowering individuals and communities to achieve self-reliance.

OUR VISION

A world where every person has access to food, education, healthcare, and the opportunity to live with dignity — free from poverty and dependence.

JUSTICE

Living and working justly means treating others as you would wish to be treated yourself. We believe in distributing aid equally, regardless of faith, race or gender. We strive to demonstrate fairness to our stakeholders through the decisions we make, whilst achieving outstanding results in our work.

100% Donation Policy

ANSARAID, Operates with a 100% donations policy meaning any Zakaat, Sadaqah, Lillah donations you make go towards your selected project.

A 100% donations policy means every single penny donated is used strictly for charitable efforts. Donations made via our website and bank transfers for projects mean nothing is removed for fundraising or administration costs. Whether £1 or £100 therefore, every amount goes on your project so you must feel comfortable when donating.

Like any organisation, Ansaraid has administration costs and overheads to meet, so how do we run the organisation if we don’t touch your valued donations?

How does Ansaraid then cover its administration costs while adhering to a 100% donations policy?

The charity utilises funds received from Gift Aid and Admin option on our website.

What is Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a scheme available to charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). It means they can claim extra money from HMRC.

The charity or CASC can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate. That’s as long as you’ve paid the basic rate of tax and make the donation from your own funds. That means Gift Aid can increase the value of your donations by 25%, so you can help the charity do extra work at no extra costs to you.

Gift Aid is important for charities and means millions of pounds extra go to the charity sector. Each time an eligible tax payer donates and forgets to tick the Gift Aid box, the charity misses out.

Are my donations eligible for Gift Aid?

A charity can claim Gift Aid when you make a monetary donation from your own funds and have paid UK Income and / or Capital Gains Tax during that tax year. The amount of tax you pay needs to be at least equal to the value of Gift Aid the charity or CASC will claim on your donation(s).

If circumstances change and you no longer pay enough tax, it’s important to tell all the charities you support. If you don’t tell them and they continue claiming Gift Aid, you’ll need to pay any difference back to HMRC.

This unique policy sets us apart from most international NGO’s and is the guiding principle of the organisation. Our work is carried out by experienced, committed volunteers and is overseen by trustees with professional, management and charity sector experience. Our work is transparent with all feedback posted daily on our social media channels and website via the LIVE feedback page.

Ansaraid have one employee and over 100 volunteers across the UK that help run the charity in the UK. We do not hold fundraising events or have any shops to run in the UK which help our running costs to remain minimal. Our appeals and fundraising takes place via social media and free advertising methods. We believe in showcasing our work via our feedback methods and using social media to engage donors which helps us maintain low costs and our 100% donations policy.

To support our admin costs make sure you select gift aid when donating if eligible
