Ansar Aid Zakaat Policy – Terms & Conditions

Ansar Aid is a registered charitable organisation dedicated to humanitarian and religious relief. All activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and Islamic Shariah under the management of the trustees of Ansar Aid and Shariah guidance from Mufti Safwaan.

1. Zakat Policy

Shariah Oversight

  • Zakat administered strictly according to Islamic Shariah.
  • Managed by trustees under Shariah Advisor Mufti Safwaan.
  • Full amanah (trust), transparency, and accountability maintained.

100% Zakat Distribution

  • Distributed only to Shariah-eligible beneficiaries.
  • Never used for salaries, admin, marketing, or operations.
  • Operational costs covered through non-Zakat funds.

Zakat-Eligible Beneficiaries

  • Poor and needy
  • Widows and orphans
  • Students of Deen
  • Refugees and displaced persons
  • Disaster-affected individuals

2. Donation Policy

Accepted Donations

  • Zakat
  • Sadaqah
  • Lillah
  • Kaffarah
  • Fidya
  • Aqeeqah
  • Qurbani
  • Non-permissible income (Shariah-approved charity use only)

Donation References

  • Donors should clearly label donations.
  • Unspecified donations may be treated as Zakat.

3% Donation Fee

  • Supports project management and compliance.
  • Supports banking and processing costs.
  • Zakat funds are never used for admin.
  • Fee is separate and does not reduce Zakat.
  • Additional platform charges may apply.

3. Distribution & Implementation

Distribution

  • Direct trustee distribution.
  • Authorised partners and implementing teams.
  • Shariah compliant with documentation and oversight.

Project Allocation

  • Donor preferences are prioritised.
  • Funds may be redirected if projects become impractical.
  • Acceptance of donations confirms agreement.

Niyyah & Wakeel Agreement

  • Donors confirm charitable intention.
  • Trustees appointed as Wakeel (agents).

4. Refund Policy

  • Donations are generally non-refundable.
  • Exceptions include errors, duplicates, or incorrect selection.
  • Refund fees borne by donor.
  • Requests reviewed individually.

5. Terms of Use

  • All donations are voluntary.
  • Funds managed according to Shariah and donor intent.
  • Website materials are Ansar Aid intellectual property.
  • No liability for delays beyond reasonable control.
